How to Glue PVC With a Cable Inside

    • 1). Dry fit the pipes and fittings together. Use a pencil to draw around the base of the fitting where it overlaps the pipe. Disassemble.

    • 2). Swab a small amount of glue inside the edge of the pipe fitting and on the outside of the pipe above the pencil mark. Quickly reassemble the pipe and fitting before the glue hardens. Use a disposable rag to remove any excess glue.

    • 3). Repeat Steps 1 and 2 to add any additional pipes and fittings that occur in a straight line.

    • 4). Push the cable through the assembly.

    • 5). Form a turn if necessary by gluing the necessary curved joint to the end of the pipe assembly. Glue another small segment of pipe to the end of the turn. Push and pull the cable until it conforms and follows the turn.

    • 6). Continue repeating Steps 1 and 2 until another return is required. To create another turn, repeat Steps 4 and 5.
