- 1). Dial *#06# on your BlackBerry phone. Write down the IMEI number that appears on the screen. Contact your mobile service provider to request your SIM unlock code. Give them all the information they ask for, including the IMEI number and your e-mail address.
- 2). Turn off the BlackBerry phone when you receive the SIM unlock code from your mobile provider. Remove the battery, battery panel and the current SIM card from the back of the phone. Insert the SIM card from your new mobile network. Replace the battery and battery panel on the phone.
- 3). Turn on the BlackBerry phone. Click through the SIM card error message. Enter the SIM unlock code on the next page. Press the "Enter" key to unlock the phone.
