Absolute Equality between Men and Women in Islam: But Macho-Muslim is Blind
Absolute Equality between Men and Women in Islam: But Macho-Muslim is Blind
Man and woman are absolutely on equal grounds in Islam. The Qur'an being the only source of authentic Islam (the Qudsi (sacred) Hadith-dictum of Muhammad- in support of the Qur'anic prescriptions and must be congruent with the Qur'anic text in spirit and in form).
Many Hadith are ascribed to Muhammad but are not (in many cases) congruent with the Qur'anic text and hence are not to be acceptable by Muslims (thirty thousands in all but half are Hadith Madsus-unauthentic Hadith ascribed to Muhammad) .
For example, the Qur'an prescribes one hundred stripes for the adulterer and the adulteress (Chapter 24:2), both alike, but a Hadith is ascribed to Muhammad which is believed to be also the practice (or Sunnah: Arabic: way) of Muhammad is stoning to death the adulterer and the adulteress which was practiced by the Prophet.
The Hadith ascribed to Muhammad as well as the practice of stoning a certain adulterer and his partner the adulteress are equally false. It stands in contradiction to the command of the Qur'an
The Prophet cannot in any way, once a command is prescribed by the Qur'an for the Muslims, augment punishment of lessens it.
Man and women are both addressed the same message.
Both are charged with the same rights and responsibilities.
Both are judged equally according to their actions (beliefs, thoughts, feelings and deeds). Both have the same reward or punishment in this world.
Both have the same reward or punishment in the Hereafter.
The following Qur'anic references denote this equality:
The following verse prescribes the same tasks and responsibilities for both believing men and women, in terms of social function, friendship, religious functions, economic functions, obedience to God. Both shall receive equal mercy from God:
‘Believers, men and women, are friends and protectors, one of another; they enjoin what is right, and prohibit what is wrong, they establish regular prayers, give al-Zakat (alms-giving: meaning to purification of one's possessions), and obey God and His messenger. On them God will pour His Mercy: for God is exalted in Power and Wise.' 9: 71
The recompense of believers in the Hereafter, men and women alike, is prescribed in the following manner:
‘God has promised to believers, men and women, Gardens under which rivers flow, to dwell therein and beautiful mansions in Gardens of everlasting bliss, and a greater bliss from God: and that is the supreme felicity.' 9: 72
The attitude and actions of believing men and believing women are presented in the Qur'anic text in terms of absolute quality
‘For Muslims, men and women, for believing men and women, for devout men and women, for true men and women, for men and women who are patient and constant, for men and women who humble themselves, for men and women who give in charity, for men and women, for men and women who fast, for men and women who guard their chastity, and for men and women who engage much in God's praise; for them has God prepared forgiveness and great reward.' 33: 35
Both hypocrites, men and women, and both disbelievers, men and women, are treated in the same way in the Hereafter and have exactly the same punishment:
‘Men hypocrites and women hypocrites, proceed one from another. They enjoin the wrong, and they forbid the right, and they withhold their hands( from spending for the cause of God). They forget God, so He has forgotten them. Lo! The hypocrites, they are the transgressors.' 9: 67
The punishment of God in the Hereafter, as prescribed in the Qur'an for the hypocrites is on equal bases, no distinction is made none whatsoever:
‘ God promises the hypocrite men and the hypocrite women, and disbelievers, fire of Hell for their eternal abode. It will suffice them. And God has cursed them, and for them a lasting torment.' 9: 68
Two exceptions with regard to standing for witness and for inheritance.
Two exceptions are mentioned in the Qur'an with regard to witnessing and inheritance.
In the case of standing witness reference indicates the following precept:
‘And get two witnesses out of your own men, and if there are not two men, then a man and two women, such as you choose, for witnesses, so that if one of them forgets, the other can remind her.' 2: 282
But the testimony of one woman is accepted as valid as that of a man should there be one woman witness only.
The second case is that of inheritance:
‘God directs you as regards your children's (inheritance): to the male, a portion equal to that of two females.' 4: 11
Penal Law in Islam considers men and women on exactly equal footing. For example the thief, whether man or woman are chastised in this world by cutting off their hands. No distinction is made between man and woman thief in punishment:
‘As for the thief, both male and female, cut off their hands. It is the reward of their own deeds, an exemplary punishment from God.' 5: 38
In case of adultery both the adulterer and the adulteress are punished in the same manner and in the same quality:
‘The adulteress and the adulterer, scourge you each one of them (with) a hundred stripes. And let not pity for both of them withhold you from obedience to God, if you believe in God and the Last day. And let a party of believers witness their punishment.' 24:2
As for further punishment the adulterer and the adulteress are equally prescribed not to get married to any one except one who has committed adultery or an asscoiater:
‘The adulterer shall not marry save an adulteress or an idolatress, and the adulteress none shall marry save an adulterer or an idolater. And all that is forbidden for the believers.' 24: 3
Well, a lot Muslims (by the superiority complex of the macho-male always looking for dominance and superiority over women practiced in the Jahili era and the Jahili era ( epoch of ignorance) is still practiced now, and especially non-Muslims, take on Islam distinction between men and women. If you consider these Qur'anic references minutely then you will see how wrong such people are.
In Islam there is no such thing as the Burka, the Chador, or the Hijab or those un-Islamic specter black or white clothes. All are innovations by the mach male for dominating women. Islam has come to free people, men and women and not to enslave them.
In the practice of reality of Muhammad his wife Khadijah was a first class businesswoman who He, Muhammad himself, has worked for over twenty five years before the message. She has commanded all commercial transactions.
His second wife ‘A'ishah was a chief general commanding the army of the believers after the death of Muhammad.
Where are Muslim women now in such retarded Muslim Countries such as Saudi Arabia, the Gulf States and Iran, Pakistan and Afghanistan under the Taliban? They are dead and buried alive under the Burka and the shadow of their Macho husbands.
Such a mentally retarded societies have, with few exceptions, immobilized half of their active population of their countries. Far from Islam and far from the real practice of Muhammad, the Prophet of Islam.
Why don't Muslims wake up and get rid of their Jahili practices?
