Dealing With Stress And Eustress

Stress, in General has become a part of the American Business landscape as much as the geography of America itself.
Many of us suffer from all types of emotional and stress related disorders and symptoms.
Some of these are temporary.
However, If we don't learn to deal with the pressure and exhaustion of stress and even eustress then, we may have physical results that can become semi permanent.
First let me define the term "Eustress", in short this term refers to the affect on our bodies caused by good things and positive events.
Just as "stress" affects our emotions, drains our energy and distracts our minds, so also can the good events of our lives.
The general affect of eustress and stress should be dealt with on a daily basis.
Why deal with healthy stress, because even if it's healthy stress, (eustress) it still uses energies that need to be replenished.
Fortunately, there are simple things you can do to help.
Good Food: Many people have a lot of side effects from not eating on time or eating the wrong food.
Sometimes stress and the effects of eustress can be fixed by a good healthy meal.
Eating the wrong food can be worse than skipping a meal.
Personally I love coffee, yet coffee has bad side effects that I can't live with.
I recognized the side effects by being in touch with my own body.
You need to get in touch with your body.
Listening to your body will tell you what food has an effect on you.
Often times when a person is grumpy they need a good meal and not too much of it, but rather just enough.
I have learned in the last several years that food is very much like drugs.
Different foods will do different things to you or for you.
Also the FDA is mixing a lot of chemicals in our food these days, when a food affects you adversely it may be some of the unnecessary chemicals in your food that you don't know about.
In short, if any food has a bad affect on you or your physiology, then stop eating it.
One more note before I leave this subject, Overeating is always bad for your Mind, Body and your soul.
Good Rest or a Nap: There exist energies in our body that cannot be replenished by food.
Sometimes the only way to deal with the stress is to nap.
Sleep replaces energies that can't be replaced by food.
Our Body operates on at least three systems.
The depletion of these systems is where we get over stressed and or too tired and or wired.
We need to replenish all of the energies of our body on a regular basis.
This is best done like you replace gas in your automobile, you use it, till it gets rather low, and then fill it up again.
When a person is low in one area or another they can go on, However, it will feel like you have a low tire on your automobile.
You certainly cannot operate at peak efficiency and you may start making mistakes.
Emotional Energy: most people don't realize that they need to replenish their emotional energies.
This can be done by positive contact with other people.
Always make a point of improving the day of anyone you meet.
Encourage somebody, by saying something positive.
Make a friend who is going through a difficult and or emotional problem feel like you care, even if there is nothing you can do in the practical world to really help.
The fact is even if a friend has lost a loved one, just being there and caring is a real difference that you can make.
This would not be a practical, physical world difference; it would be an emotional difference.
We are emotional beings.
The emotional aspect of our existence is as much a reality as anything in the practical world.
My pastor tells a story about a man who uses drugs.
His life was ruined he lost his Wife, kids, business, everything.
This man said that if he could have had one person to encourage him he would have been alright.
What if a person in need of encouragement crosses your path, what will he or she get from you? Replenish your emotional energies by becoming a kind encourager.
You reap what you sow, therefore encourage others and get encouraged yourself.
Try it, it works.
Spiritual Energies: your spiritual energies are replenished when you visit with God, and or take part in his work and activities on a regular basis.
Doing such activities as Going to Church, Reading the Bible, or encouraging others, will replenish your spiritual energies.
These are closely related to emotional energies and yet they are not the same.
No Human can be entirely healthy without replenishing all his or her energies on a regular basis.
Living with depletion in one of these areas will lead to a warped mind and thinking.
I have spent my life studying these matters.
