Life Is Simple, Just Like The Old Man" s Life
Accidentally, I listened to the most famous piece of Abing---Second Spring reflecting the Moon. At midnight, I listened to the soul-stirring melody and forgot all unpleasant things. I seemed to watch Abing playing his Erhu absorbedly. Sometimes, I just thought life was really simple. Live and do things you like, which is really simple. Its just me who makes life too complicated.
I remembered years ago, a blind musician always played Erhu in Ningbo. Every day, he played Erhu under a crossover absorbedly regardless of the weather. He put an old hat on the ground and played Erhu for the whole day without stop. He was totally immersed in his own music, forgot himself, and forgot the whole world. Two dried steamed buns and a bottle of water was his lunch. For the whole two years, every time I passed the crossover, I could see him playing Erhu. Now Im in Shenzhen, every time when Im tired of reading or working, I will think of the blind old man and his devotion to music. Then I will become ashamed, and then continue to study and work. If I can treat my work as the same as the old man to his music, I wont live so miserably. I usually heard sayings about life is really so hard and success is so far away. How could they expect success without even trying, not evening to say devotion?
Im just thinking too much. Life is simple, just like the old mans life. Every day, he is just playing Echo and eating dried steamed bun to live his life. He is alone and poor, but not miserable. He is very content with his life because he can do things he likes and devote all his life to it. So there is really not so much to think. Just try to live in a simple way. If you do a thing without forgetting the whole world and yourself, maybe you need to think of changing it into another thing. Devotion not always leads to success, but success is always cant exist without devotion.
The only comfort for me is that at least I know what things I like and can devote all my life to it without regret. Making plan is easy, everyone can make it. Realizing it is hard, not everyone can do it. The one can do it is somebody, or else just nobody.
