The Truth About Food Allergies
If you talk to conventional allergists, they are going to tell you that there is no allergy, unless there is a skin response.
In fact, they are going to tell you that you cannot effectively test food allergies.
If you talk to other people, they are going to tell you that the skin test is not even valid, and there are other ways to test.
The truth is that they both are right.
On one hand, we cannot test effectively test food allergies on the skin, The skin test and antibody called IgG, (type I response), that is better used for testing for grasses, trees, mold, things that you get runny nose from the environment.
If you look at food, we are going to look at blood.
We pick the major antibody in the blood called IgG (Immunoglobulin G).
That is called type II response.
You can be type I or type II allergic, or both.
You can have a response to food.
You might know people who eat a peanut, and their throat closes up.
But that is type II response, and that was mediated primarily by the IgG that I mentioned above.
And you see probably a skin response to that.
You can get immune to the allergy by using allergen, and produce immunity, and sometimes avoid symptoms, but it is a 50/50 chance.
I would recommend you to go to your physician and blood test the food you are allergic to.
He will test the major antibody called IgG and find the response.
He will test each food on the list against the IgG antibody.
It allows creating a list of food you are intolerant to.
That is a good concept: food and tolerance.
You could be eating food, and you probably are that prime the immune system.
In general, we talk about priming when we are talking about immunity and viruses, and what you are trying to do is to with immunization or vaccination is to prime your immune system to be ready against the same virus coming into your body again.
If we are talking about priming by foods, you might be eating food that is priming your immune system and keeping you overreacted to the environment.
So if the foods are tested, and eliminated for a short period of time (3-4 months), we see the immune system to function again, everything calms down and the overreaction stops.
