The World Of Warcraft (WoW) Expansion "The Burning Crusade" has introduced a lucrative new profession: Jewelcrafting.
This WoW Jewelcrafting guide will give you several tips to dominate your new profession.

1. Stick Around: You will need to spend the majority of your time at the only 2 cities in Azeroth where you can learn Jewelcrafting: Exodar & Silver Moon.
   
2. Mine For Ore: Combine your profession with Mining.
   Gather plenty of Ore as when you reach level 20, your second skill will come into play (explained further on).
   
3. Combine Meta Gems: If you come across meta gems, you will need to combine them in order to activate them, eg.
   two red and one yellow.
   Once active you will get a special bonus.
   
4. Like Green, Love Blue: Green gems are the most common you will acquire but Blue are worth more bonuses.
   You can either mine nodes for blue gems or you can find them for a good price at an Auction House.
   
5. Craft and Cut: Craft as many items as you can as fast as you can, this will level you quicker.
   You may also equip your carved gems with socketed items, this will improve your armour.
   
6. Use Your Ore: When you reach level 20, learn prospecting from the jewelcrafting trainer.
   This enables you to extract gems from your mined ore.
   For every bundle of 5 ore, you can expect 1-2 gems.
   Most other miners cannot do this.
   Cut and sell these gems for extra profit.
   

There's not much else you need to do if you wish to master WoW jewelcrafting.
