- 1). Access the program feature of the coffee maker by pressing the program button. Hold the program button down until the timer screen is accessed and the hour and minutes begin to flash.
- 2). Press the hour button to advance the timer to the desired a.m. or p.m. hour that the coffee maker should come on. Set the minutes in the same manner using the minute button.
- 3). Wait for the timer to stop flashing and press the program button momentarily to access the timer and verify the time, paying particular attention to the a.m. or p.m. setting on the screen.
- 4). Prepare the coffee maker for brewing as normal using a filter, coffee and water. Place the decanter in the coffee maker as usual.
- 5). Press the auto button to initiate the coffee pot timer. Verify that the timer is active by a light by the auto button or a display on the screen indicating auto, based on the type and model of coffee maker.
