Royal Caribbean has devoted the Mariner of the Seas to Mexico sailings. This 4.5-star ship was built in 2003 and was fully refurbished in 2007. With a capacity of more than 3,000, passengers can enjoy a rock climbing wall, miniature golf course or ice skating rink. The Royal Promenade is an area the length of a football field full of shopping and restaurants. Other on-board restaurant options include the Windjammer cafe, and two reservations-only alternatives to the main dining room. The many lounges and casino keep adults entertained, and the ship features special programs and teen-only areas for the kids.

NCL offers the Norwegian Star to sail the Mexico route. This 4-star ship was fully refurbished in 2004 and has a passenger capacity of more than 2,200. The ship features 12 different restaurants, including Japanese, French, Hawaiian and Italian, and 14 lounges and bars. This ship is very family friendly, with a recreation center, computer room, an arcade and entertainment exclusively for children.

Princess has the Sapphire Princess devoted to Mexico sailings. This 5-star ship was built in 2004 and refurbished in 2009. It has a passenger capacity of 2,600 and includes a specialty disco lounge and nightclub. The ship also has an Eastern-inspired spa, a large Internet cafe, a nine-hole golf course, a golf simulator and a private, adults-only retreat called the Sanctuary.
