Pune Biennale is an event that aims at promoting and showcasing creative talents from several disciplines of arts, design and architecture. The theme of the inaugural Pune Biennale is €Celebrating Hills of Pune€. The hills in and around the city have given it a distinct geographical and cultural identity and Pune Biennale intends to revive this through different forms of art. The newly hosted €Yashwant International Film Festival€ was organized by Yashwantrao Chavan Pratishthan, jointly with Pune Film Foundation in remembrance of the great visionary of Maharahstra, a social reformist, practitioner of administration and great connoisseur of arts. The Festival was held at Yashwantrao Chavan Pratishthan's main auditorium and the Rangswar theatre at Nariman Point, Mumbai. The selected films of Pune International Film Festival were showcased at the 1st Yashwant International Film Festival as it is a major event associated with the Pune Film Foundation. In this festival, the organizers tried to showcase the changing parameters of cinema, new talent, innovations and experiments. The festival had screened some of the incredible movies of the region.
