Fat Is Flavor
Fat = Taste
Apart from making many foods far more palatable, fat adds texture, flavor and taste to many dishes. Imagine toast without butter?
The biggest problem with dieting is that it usually calls for the removal of much fat from the diet, but I protest that this is a fraud and should be avoided at all costs.
Flavor = Weight Loss
For years I've been a proponent of the theory that if your food doesn't taste good then your diet is doomed. Of course this is nothing new under the sun, but think about how most diets call for some measure of control over portion size and ingredients, which in turn can affect (adversely) the flavor.
Well, portion size shouldn't have an effect on taste but the components of a meal will invariably determine how your food tastes.
I believe that by making your meals taste that little bit better, then you can maintain a level of satiety that will make your current diet plan far easier to stick to.
Bad Taste = Binging
All diets that consist of sub par tasting food will always lead to those inevitable binges that really do make you gain weight. Why not prevent this with food that doesn't make you squint in disgust.
Fat is recognized by the worlds best chefs as an essential flavor adding ingredient. It doesn't means you have to deep fry the life out of all you eat, it does however mean that a little here and there will increase the satiety of what ever you eat enormously.
Common Sense First
A healthy lifestyle is all about balance, but removing fat all together wont give you balance at all. Common sense would dictate that a reasonable amount of Good Fat is not only a good idea, but an essential component of a healthy diet.
Don't be afraid of fat and don't cut it out of your meals just to get a short term gain at the risk of health and taste.
