Eye Strengthening Exercises - An Exercise to Improve Your Vision
I have always believed in holistic methods to treat eye conditions and any other condition for that matter.
I'm now getting on for 30 years old and have managed to avoid glasses despite much less than perfect vision.
I put this down to learning about the Bates principles and really trying to understand how the eyes work and how I should be using them.
I'd encourage anyone who is considering glasses or even laser surgery to at least have a go at improving their eyesight naturally - it definitely works (I'm living proof) it avoids a whole host of issues that other treatments throw at you, including huge expenses, degeneration in eyesight over time and the danger of permanent eye damage.
I do around half an hour's worth of eye exercises a weak to keep my eyes in top condition, and this is one exercise that I do.
It's called Palming and is great for relieving stress from your eyes.
Eye Strengthening Exercise - Palming Here's what you do: -Warm your hands up by rubbing them together -Place one palm over each eye -Make sure that you palms don't touch your eyes or eyelids -Rest comfortably with your elbows on a hard surface of some kind and allow your fingers to cross over your face and forehead -In complete darkness focus on relaxing both in the mind and in the eyes.
-Relax fully in this palming position for short or long periods of time depending on how you feel.
When you read it over it sounds very silly, but I challenge you to do it the next time you're stressed and see how you react afterwards.
Believe me, I was the world's biggest cynic when I first read about palming, but now I can really see the value that this technique brings.
There are Loads of Exercises The great thing about Doctor Bate's work is that he pretty much dedicated his life to the cause of helping people with their eyesight.
As a result there is a large number of exercises that you can use each with their own purpose and application.
Suffering from lazy eye? Do some strain training to train your eyes not to strain when trying to focus on things.
