Decorating for the holidays is exceptional fun and one of the funnest holidays to decorate for is Halloween. And if you have children you know exactly how fun it can be. Kids LOVE Halloween and decorating for it is a real family treat.

What some people tend to overlook when they do tend to decorate is the coffee table. Most people will decorate the walls, windows, front porch, fences, etc. but they overlook the center of the room! They overlook the focal point of the room which is the coffee table.

And decorating it for Halloween can be an extra special treat.

Here’s how:

-Go to the store and pick up a Halloween themed table cover. You can go to your local shopping mall and you should be able to find one there. Or if you want to add a really personal touch you can make one on your own. Simply go to the fabric store and pick up two pieces of fabric. Get one that’s big enough to fit over the coffee table and another one to make designs out of that you can sew to the cover. The big one should be colored black and the small one should be orange (or vice versa).

-Make the designs to sew on the cloth out of Halloween inspired shapes. Make jack-o-lanterns, ghosts, cats, monsters, ghouls, or witches. Have your children help you cut them out and then sew them onto the cloth cover. When you’re done you have a cloth cover you can use each year!
