How to Make an Embellished Glass Ball Ornament

    • 1). Wipe the glass ball off with a damp paper towel. This will prevent you from gluing on dust, dirt or other manufacturing residue and give your ball a brilliant shine.

    • 2). Thread the ornament hanger onto the ornament. Bend it so that it cannot slide off, as once you have decorated the ball, it will be much harder to get the ornament hanger through the small wire loop at the top of the decoration.

    • 3). Arrange the fir and holly on the top of the ball. They should lie relatively flat against the surface of the ball. Use plenty of glue to make sure that they stick securely, and hold them in place for about 10 seconds after you have glued them to give the adhesive a chance to set.

    • 4). Add the pine cones, jinge bells and the poinsettia flowers to the top of the ball. One or two pin econes, two jingle bells and one poinsettia flower will likely be enough, unless you are working with a very large Christmas ball. Arrange them so that they are on top of the fir and holly, but do not entirely obscure them. When gluing the bells, be sure to only glue the top part so that the chime is still free to tinkle when the glass ball moves on the tree.

    • 5). Finish off your ball with a red velvet bow. This bow can be affixed to the side or the top of the bell. Many people actually attach it to the very base of the ornament hanger to cover the wire loop. Use a dab of glue on the back of the bow, but try not to use too much glue for this, as it may drip onto the other accents.
