How do I Use Toothpaste on Acne Burning?

    • 1). Choose a toothpaste that is in paste form rather than gel, advises the Acne Assasin website. That site explains that fresh mint juice has been used to fight acne and it may be the same property in toothpaste that helps with pimples. Therefore, use a toothpaste with mint in its ingredients to dry up outbreaks.

    • 2). Rinse your face with cool water and pat it dry with small cloth in order to remove any dirt or makeup.

    • 3). Apply a pea-sized amount of toothpaste to each acne bump. Pat the dollop on gently and refrain from rubbing it in. Apply the toothpaste only to your pimples and keep it off of your skin to reduce irritation, warns the Acne Assasin.

    • 4). Allow the toothpaste to remain on your face for about 10 to 15 minutes. If it begins to burn before that time, remove it immediately and wash the area.

    • 5). Splash cool water onto your face and gently rub the toothpaste off with your finger.

    • 6). Pat your skin dry with a soft cloth.
