NBC Announces 2012-13 Television Schedule



After yet another uneventful season, NBC heads into the 2012-13 season with three new shows and four returning dramas. Smash, the series NBC had heavily promoted and hoped would be the next huge hit, was hit with lukewarm ratings, but nonetheless, it was considered a viable contender on Monday nights. The real success story was NBC's Friday night sci-fi drama Grimm.

Coming up this fall on NBC are three exciting and promising new dramas that if scores well with viewers, would really balance out the network by covering a wide array of genres.

Canceled NBC Dramas:Awake, Harry's Law, and The Firm Previously canceled dramas include: Chuck, The Playboy Club, Prime Suspect.

Meet the New Dramas

Chicago Fire
They're called the bravest for a reason -- the Firefighters, Rescue Squad and Paramedics of Chicago Firehouse 51 stare in the face of danger every single day and risk their lives to save people they don't even know. When an accident claims one of their own, the men and women of Firehouse 51 find themselves at odds with one another as they are forced to take sides. Although tensions are running high, when the call comes, each member of this team fall into place and work together to save lives.
Cast: Teri Reeves as Hallie, David Eigenberg as Christopher Hermann, Charlie Barnett as Peter Mills, Lauren German as Leslie Shay, Monica Raymund as Gabriella Dawson, Taylor Kinney as Kelly Severide, Jesse Spencer as Matthew Casey, Eamonn Walker as Battalion Chief Walter Boden and Merle Dandridge as Kay Fitori.

Do No Harm - Midseason
A modern-day Jekyll & Hyde about Dr.

Jason Cole, a neurosurgeon with a successful career and his dangerous, sociopath alter-ego, Ian Price. For years Jason has managed to suppress his alter-ego with a powerful experimental sedative, but it no longer works and Ian has come out to play every night, bent on preventing Jason from ever developing a cure to rid himself of his alter-ego.

Hannibal - Midseason
The character the great Anthony Hopkins created in the blockbuster movies comes to life in this psychological thriller that takes place long before Dr. Hannibal Lecter was caught. When criminal profiler Will Graham can't seem to catch an elusive serial killer, he enlists the help of the brilliant doctor, unaware that Dr. Lecter is the very man he is pursuing in the dangerous game of cat and mouse.

Infamous - Midseason
NBC gets back into the juicy primetime soap genre with this intriguing series about the mysterious death of Vivian Bowers, heir to a pharmaceutical empire, who appears to have died from an overdose. Detective Joanna Locasto, who grew up in the Bowers household as the maids daughter (and Vivian's best friend), decides to go deep undercover and delve back into that opulent lifestyle in hopes to expose the truth about why Vivian was in danger and how she really died.
Cast: Victor Garber as Robert Bowers, Meagan Good as Joanna Locasto, Katherine LaNasa as Sofia Bowers, Tate Donovan as Edward Bowers and Laz Alonso as Will Moreno.

Revolution
In this day and age of technology, can you possibly imagine an existence without our modern comforts such as television, cell phones, internet... electricity? In this exciting drama brought to us by television and film mastermind J.J. Abrams, the world has lost all forms electricity -- no way to communicate to learn what happened and no way to fix the problem. Something or someone has literally flipped a switch and the world has reverted back to the days before electricity was invented. When a local militia murders a young woman's father, who happened to have had something to do with the blackout, she and two friends go on a journey to discover what really happened.
Cast: Anna Lise Phillips as Maggie, Graham Rogers as Danny, Tim Guiee as Ben, David Lyons as Bass Monroe, Billy Burke as Miles, Tracy Spiridakos as Charlie, Andrea Roth as Rachel, Maria Howell as Grace, JD Pardo as Nate, Zak Orth as Aaron and Giancarlo Esposito as Lt. Neville.
