French Or Swiss Lace For Lace Front Wigs?
Here are some tips which will help you decide which lace material will work best for you:
Swiss LaceĀ is
French Lace is
Although both types of lace are virtually undetectable, French Lace is more durable than Swiss Lace wigs. If you do however choose to go with the Swiss Lace, I would advise you take your lace wig to a professional for washing and cleaning.
Speaking from personal experience, I find that I prefer French Lace wigs because with Swiss the lace tends to unravel and begin to look rugged at the hairline.
Our in-stock wig selection consists of 100% Indian Remy Human Hair and we use French Lace due to its durability. You are more than welcome to customize your order where you can select Swiss Lace as an option if you prefer the more delicate sheer material.
Swiss LaceĀ is
- Fine, delicate, sheer material and must be handled with care to prevent damage
- This type of lace can easily be torn or ripped due to its texture
- It is NOT recommended for first time wearers, for those who are more active or who will remove the lace wig frequently
- Once the lace is damaged you will have to have your unit repaired or by another lace wig
French Lace is
- Slightly thicker and more durable than Swiss Lace
- French Lace wigs last longer than Swiss Lace wigs because they can with stand more wear and tear
- The knots are not hidden by the lace, but bleached knots are used to give the lace an extremely undetectable look. Bleached knots are used to create an illusion of hair growing from the scalp.
