Why Use Online Backup?

You should use online backup because it keeps the most valuable part of your PC safe.
Ask yourself this question: "what is the most valuable part of my computer?" No, it's not the HD graphics card nor the latest Pentium processor.
The answer is your data.
That's the photos, movies, music and other files that you've saved on to the hard disk.
Although most of these things cost little or nothing to acquire they are priceless to you.
All the other stuff that makes up your computer can be bought for a bit of cash - but your data? Your data is priceless because it's irreplaceable.
Baby's first birthday only happens once.
If you lose those photos you can't go back and take them again.
The same with all the other precious memories you've stored on the hard disk.
Your data can easily be lost through error, virus attack or malfunction.
All hard disks will break down at some time the question is when.
These days most people have got the message they need to back up their data and have bought an external hard disk for that purpose so why use online backup if you've already got a backup? There are several reasons: External hard disks can fail too.
Your PC and backup disk could be stolen.
Fire, flood, tornado or other disaster could wipe out PC and backup.
Online backup overcomes all possible scenarios of data loss.
It's kept "off site" to your computer so they can't be lost through disaster or theft.
The online backup company keeps backups of your backup so it's never lost.
You can set your online backup to run automatically every day so you know your data is always protected and with broadband available in most areas the time the whole backup or recovery process is comparable to using an external hard disk.
Although there may be a small regular charge for the service it's a small price to pay for the peace of mind this method of backup provides.
