The 5 Setbacks I Had During My Journey To Lose 52 Pounds In 2 Months (And How I Overcame Them)

After experiencing nightmares using other diet programs, I finally found a program that worked extremely well and it helped me lose 52 pounds in a couple of months...
naturally and permanently.
The diet was easy to follow, it's 100% natural, and my results are astonishing.
However, during my journey to get to that point, I experienced 5 setbacks in the beginning.
I wanted to share with you what those setbacks were and what I did to overcome them.
My hope is that if you are experiencing, or if you end up experiencing these setbacks, that you'll now have an idea of how you can overcome them as well.
Here Are Those 5 Setbacks (In No Particular Order)...
1.
) I kept craving bad lunches...
I just couldn't figure this one out! I don't know if it was my body or mind programmed to have Philadelphia cheese steaks, cheeseburgers, and Italian hoagies (to name a few) at this time of day or what?! I mean, I was able to have very healthy dinners with no problems, and eat fruits and veggies, etc.
with no problems.
But when it came to lunch, those urges just hit me like a freight train! So, what I did to overcome this setback is fortunately the diet program I was on was all about eating more often.
The reason this helped is because I was able to eat something that was satisfying (but very healthy) right before the time I started craving bad lunches (which was usually between 11 a.
m.
and 12 noon).
Over a period of a couple of weeks, I stopped craving bad lunches! Just one more reason why it's so important to eat small meals more frequently.
2.
) I still had a sweet tooth...
I overcame this setback with 3 things.
I started drinking more water, I stopped having a sugary breakfast (which causes strong carb cravings later in the day), and I treated myself once in a while to a sweet treat (which was still somewhat healthy anyhow...
such as dark chocolate which just so happens to be high in antioxidants).
3.
) It was difficult trying to fit in exercises...
I fixed this issue two ways.
For one, I found a 24 hour gym facility.
Second, if I wasn't going to the gym (which I'm not going at the moment), I would do (and still do) quick body-weight circuit routines at home.
Body-weight circuit routines take 10-20 minutes to do, they combine both cardio and muscle-building exercises into one, they are very fun to do, you will never get bored (since you have to switch up the circuit every time you exercise), and you increase your metabolism and RESTING metabolism as well.
4.
) I got annoyed with having to drink a lot of water...
Back and forth to the kitchen to get glasses of water was driving me crazy! So, a simple solution to this problem was (and still is) to carry a 1/2 gallon jug of ice-cold water with me! 5.
) I was dropping pounds in the beginning, but not that much body fat...
The diet I went on was helping me burn body fat, but I just wasn't burning off as much as I hoped to.
Meanwhile, I was dropping pounds like crazy.
Come to find out, it came down to the types of exercises I was doing in the beginning.
In the beginning, I was spending way too much time doing JUST cardio workouts.
Cardio is okay, but it's building lean muscle tissue that makes the difference.
When you build lean muscle, your body automatically burns off body fat, and you gain a TON of extra benefits as well.
So, if you are struggling with any of those setbacks above, or if you are about to start on a diet program, I hope that the above article helps you overcome some of the most common problems not just I myself had, but many other people have as well.
