Grenada, MS Hotels

    Sunset Drive/Highway 8

    • The section of Mississippi Highway 8 that runs through Grenada and is the location of several hotels is known as Sunset Drive. A half dozen hotels are clustered around an area to the east of the intersection of Sunset Drive and Highway 8. These include national chain hotels such as the Comfort Inn, America's Best Value Inn, the Holiday Inn Hotel and Suites, the Quality Inn, the Knights Inn and the Super 8, as well as the locally owned Number 8 Motel.

    Frontage Road

    • Frontage Road lies just to the west of the intersection of Highways 7 and 8, right off of exit 206 of Interstate 55. The road is bisected by Sunset Drive, and there is one hotel on each side. Northwest Frontage Road has the Econo Lodge, while southwest Frontage Road has the Country Inn & Suites. These two hotels are a bit further removed from downtown Grenada and Grenada Lake than the other hotels in town.

    Jameson Drive

    • Directly to the south of the Sunset Drive cluster of hotels is Jameson Drive. This road is home to two chain hotels: the Jameson Inn and the Hampton Inn and Suites. These hotels are conveniently located between Interstate 55 and downtown Grenada and are the closest to Grenada Lake of all the city's hotels. Numerous restaurants, including Jake & Rips and La Cabana Mexican Catina, as well as fast food options like KFC and Burger King, are just a quick drive away.

    Sundown Road

    • Sundown Road lies to the north of Sunset Drive in a more forested and residential section of the city. The Budget Inn Express is the lone hotel on this road. Despite its relative seclusion, the Budget Inn Express is just three miles -- a five-minute drive -- from the heart of downtown Grenada. The banks of the Yalobusha River, which runs around the northern border of the city, are within walking distance of the hotel.
