- 1). Turn the burner controls into the off position and make sure that no gas can flow to the burners.
- 2). Check the tank's nozzle to make sure it is free of debris and isn't clogged up with grease, dirt or other materials.
- 3). Hoist the tank into a vertical position and connect the stove's gas hose to the connector on the tank's valve. Tighten the tank's connector by turning the hose collar in a clockwise position. Open the tank's gas valve by turning it counterclockwise.
- 4). Turn one of the burners on to test out the flow of the gas. Check carefully for leaks close to the seal. This is where most mistakes occur due to improper connection. Should you hear a small hissing sound, turn off the burner, unscrew the connector and re-thread it again. Turn the gas back on to confirm that there is no more leakage.
