Fabulous Outing With Friends At Malvan
The feeling which we get when our leaves get sanctioned cant be explained in words. If the leave sanctioned without any objections means a peaceful week spent with friends and family. The reason I took the leave was to plan an outing with friends. It had been years since I took leave for a family outing. The only leave I took was when I was not well and was admitted to hospital. My family terms me as a workholic and it is true to some extent, as I always accept new assignments willingly. Trust me family picnic is the best when you need to unwind from your regular routine. You just couldnt ask for more, if you go with friends you have to do try and explore the places but with family you just get time to lie around and be lazy all day doing nothing.
The good things in the period when I was working my parents had invested in a holiday scheme, Pancard club investment scheme. It was under this scheme we went to Malvan to enjoy a outing for five days. It was really a good five days. The hotel where we got our accommodations, Sagar Kinara, was just near Malvan beach. The USP of the hotel was its proximity to the beach and Sindhudurg fort. The day when we reached there, we all took a long stroll in the beach and we were satisfied with the walk. The travelling was very hectic and none of my family members are used to travel such a long distance. It took us around 15 - 16 hours to reach the Hotel and the journey from Mumbai to Malvan was filled with many obstacles. The traffic, road closures and the worst, breakdown of our van consumed lots of time.
The next day we decided to go for sight-seeing. We inquired with the hotel manager and he advised me some of the places which would be worth watching. Tarkarli Beach was the first suggestion and the moment we saw the beach we came to know why it was the first suggestion. Some of us tried snorkeling and scuba diving while others were happy by just boating. From there we moved to Rock garden situated near the Arase Mahal and on the Rocky Shore of Malvan.
The next day we visited the famous Sindhudurg fort. We heard many facts from the locals and were really felling proud of ourselves. The fort was built after so much planning that it is very hard to find any construction which could match to this effort. The next two days were spent in and around Malvan beaches only. If it hadnt been hotel Pancard Club investment scheme, we would have missed an opportunity of seeing the beautiful Malvan.
