Blow Dryer Attachments

Attachments for any appliance usually turn out to be very handy, but what about those funky looking ones for blow dryers? Don't give up on them just yet, you might find their uses very interesting so here's a brief description of what you might find when looking for hair dryer attachments.
Most professional hair dryers such as the Karmin Salon Pro come with a narrow nozzle attachment, also known as a concentrator which, as the name suggest, concentrates the airflow to make styling bangs and other small sections of hair much easier.
You can even use it to add extra shine to your locks by using the cool blast option and directing the airflow from the roots to the ends.
Another popular attachment is a diffuser which is very gentle on your hair.
Diffusers are typically made of plastic and are cone-like in shape, the narrow part of the diffuser is meant for attaching to the blow dryer while the wide end, lined with prongs, is used to lift your hair during the hair drying process to save time and achieve great looking styles.
A regular blow dryer without the diffuser can cause damage and frizz, but with a diffuser the airflow is distributed indirectly over your hair, making the heat's effect gentler.
It's usually preferred by women with curly hair but naturally straight haired girls can use it to create beautiful curls and waves or to add extra volume to their daily hairstyle.
A less popular but still worth mentioning attachment is the pick, which is used to create volume to add lift to any style.
But, it can also be used to help straighten curly hair.
The pick attachment allows you to comb your hair while you're drying which helps straighten locks while preventing kinks, for a quicker drying experience.
Shorter hair needs a shorter pick, and for longer hair look for longer prongs.
There are a few other blow dryer attachments that are much less common and not very easy to use, so if you're interested in purchasing an attachment for your dryer you'd better stick to the three already mentioned which are much easier to handle.
If you already own these attachments and haven't been able to use them yet, don't let them collect dust, once you find out how to use them you'll find them extremely useful for creating new and unique styles that you would never have thought possible with a hair dryer!
