1995 Kawasaki Ninja Specs

Kawasaki introduced the Ninja sport motorcycle series in 1984. Since then, the Ninja has gone through several redesigns of both its engine and body. In 1995, the Ninja was available in the ZX-6R, ZX-9R and ZX-11R models. All three bikes shared the same basic body style but had slightly different physical dimensions and came with different engines. The Ninja celebrated its 25th anniversary in 2009.

ZX-6R

The 1995 Ninja ZX-6R is equipped with a 599 cc, water-cooled, inline four-cylinder engine. The 1995 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-9R sports a 899 cc, liquid-cooled, in-line four-cylinder engine with a bore and stroke of 2.8 inches by 2.1 inches and a compression ratio of 11.5:1. This four-stroke engine has four valves per cylinder and uses a six-speed, chain-driven transmission. It reaches a maximum 141 horsepower at 10,500 RPM and a maximum torque of 69.4 foot-pounds at 9,000 RPM. Its power-to-weight ratio is 0.6558 horsepower to 2.2 pounds. The 1995 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-11R is the largest Ninja in the lineup. It comes with a 1,052 cc, liquid-cooled, four-cylinder engine. This four-stroke engine features a dual overhead camshaft configuration, with a bore and stroke of 3.0 inches by 2.28 inches and a compression ratio of 11:1. The engine is paired with a six-speed, chain-driven transmission. The 1995 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-11R has a maximum 145 horsepower at 10,500 RPM and a maximum torque of 81 foot-pounds at 8,500 RPM.
