How to Strip a Glock
- 1). Remove the clip from your Glock. Eject any live ammunition from the chamber. Dry fire your gun while it is pointed in a safe direction.
- 2). Remove the slide from you pistol. Set it aside.
- 3). Push the locking block pin and the trigger pin out of your gun using an awl. Pull the slide release out of your Glock.
- 4). Pry the locking block out with your awl gently. Remove the locking block from the frame by lifting it out.
- 5). Push out the trigger housing mechanism pin from the rear of the gun using your awl. Pull the trigger bar, trigger, and the trigger mechanism out of the frame by pulling upwards on your ejector.
- 6). Remove the trigger bar from the trigger mechanism housing by pulling forward on the trigger bar and twist it free of the trigger mechanism housing. Remove it from the spring.
- 7). Remove the connector from the trigger mechanism housing by gently prying it off.
- 8). Remove the recoil mechanism from the slide by pulling it out by hand. Remove the barrel by pulling it out by hand.
- 9). Remove the back cover plate from your slide by sliding your awl between the firing pin and the firing pin sleeve. Put pressure on the back plate to avoid parts ejecting.

Remove the firing pin and the firing pin sleeve from the slide by hand. Remove the extractor plunger by turning the slide so that the back is facing down. The extractor plunger should fall out. - 11
Remove the extractor from your slide by pushing your awl down on the firing pin safety. The extractor will fall free of the slide. - 12
Remove the firing pin safety by pulling it out by hand.
