How to Disassemble the Big Dog SuperTrapp Exhaust
- 1). Remove the heat shields from the SuperTrapp exhaust by loosening the worm clamps that hold the shields to the exhaust with a flat head screwdriver.
- 2). Remove the exhaust support bracket that connects the exhaust to the motorcycle chassis with a socket wrench and hex socket.
- 3). Loosen and remove the two oxygen sensors with an open end wrench. Loosen and remove the four bolts that mate the header pipes to the exhaust headers with a hex socket and socket wrench.
- 4). Remove the entire exhaust assembly from the motorcycle by hand.
- 5). Loosen and remove the 5/16 inch hex bolt or bolts that secures the muffler or mufflers to the header pipes with a socket wrench and hex socket.
- 6). Remove the end cap-disc stack assembly from each muffler by loosening the 1/4 inch end cap screws with an Allen socket and socket wrench.
- 7). Unscrew the two 1/4 inch Allen screws on the bottom of the muffler. Remove the muffler core assembly.
