How to Install Category-5 Cables Into Wall Jacks
- 1). Turn off any electronic equipment connected to one end of the Category 5 cable.
- 2). Turn the plug on the other end of the cable with the flexible locking clip facing upward. Orient the plug share to the outline of the jack in the wall plate.
- 3). Push the plug straight into the wall jack until it clicks in the locked position.
- 4). Press and hold the plug's locking tab and pull straight out to disconnect the cable.
