Overcoming AddictionTrue Purpose And Passion Testing
At some point, most, if not all, folks ponder what their purpose or real divine mission is. One of the methods marketed as an effective tool to unlock true purpose is called passion testing. Passion testing is based on the theory that ones true life purpose is synonymous with passion. Passion testers offer questionnaires that ask things like:
I am excited about my life and turned on by the things I get to do each day.
Im very clear about the top 5 passions in my life, those things that matter most to me.
I make decisions based on what will help me live my passions most fully.
Those would be just dandy questions to ponder if true life purpose actually had anything to do with passion, but it does not. In my opinion, passion is not synonymous with true purpose! You can be passionate about many things, however, that doesnt mean its your divine plan. For example, one could exclaim, I am passionate about my motorcycle and the freedom it gives me. I would reply, So, hopping on your Harley and motoring down the highway while bugs smack you in the face is your divine purpose? I think not! Or, you could be passionate about smoking Cuban cigars and drinking fine brandy. Does that mean that kicking back at the country club while smoking a stogie and drinking yourself into a stupor is your true life purpose? Once again, I think not! True life purpose is a divine plan. It is not a hobby or some extra curricular activity that one is passionate about. If you want to reveal and unleash your higher calling, you must reveal and unleash your true self! For most, passion is self-serving while purpose generally serves others.
If youre really committed to unlocking your True Life Purpose, youll need to clean house or wipe the slate clean if you will. Ones true life purpose is, in essence, a higher calling. You can not answer that call; much less even ask for the phone to ring if you insist on hanging out in low places. Liberate yourself from the people and patterns which no longer serve you well. These toxic patterns and/or people are stunting your growth, and they are, ultimately, holding you back from opening the true life purpose door. Consider this; if your purpose is a higher calling, how can you unlock, unleash or implement it if you insist on playing in a mud puddle? In simple terms, you cant! If you want to complete your sacred contract and your divine mission, you must evolve. Theres no getting around this. Sure, you can attempt to bypass all the learning, transformation and evolution required by using hand analysis or passion testing, but, inevitably you will fail. Even if you achieve some success, eventually, you will be whacked back onto the track by the divine conductor. Using writing exercises, hand analysis and passion testing to uncover, unleash and implement your true life purpose is like running with scissors on ice, downhill, with the wind, in a lightning storm, while headed for a cliff with the hope that youll not only come out unscathed, but youll also land in the garden of Eden! If its not your real divine plan, the outcome will be disastrous!
