The Suzuki Swift is subcompact car that was produced by the Suzuki Motor Corporation, based in Japan. When the automobile was introduced in 1985, it was called the SA-310 but then quickly renamed to the Swift. The Swift carried popularity around the world and was sold under different names, including the Pontiac Firefly in Canada, the Geo Metro in the U.S. and Canada and the Maruti Esteem in India.
