Busking Spots That Get You Noticed - How to Pick a Good One

Choosing the right busking spot can make a world of difference.
Pick a bad one and you could spend your whole time struggling to be heard, getting heckled or not making a dime.
However, pick a good busking spot and you could have a great time, make some great money, and get great experience performing in front of a crowd.
Here are some tips to ease the process of choosing a good one: Pay attention to the noise level and acoustics.
Would you get drowned out by other noise or would the natural acoustic of the place compliment your performance? How far away can you be heard from? How far away and how many directions can you be seen from? What sort of foot traffic walks past? Are most people rushing past or do they have a reason to stop and linger for a few minutes? If people wanted to stop, would they be able to without being in the way? Busking Spots seem to get stale.
After months of regular use, the spot that was making you loads of money a little while ago may just not paying as well anymore.
It may be time to move on.
It is a good idea to have more than 1 regular spot.
Most importantly, do not obsess about it too much.
The best way to find out if a busking spot is good is by trying it out for a couple of hours.
You may find out it's no good, and you may choose to not go back to it ever again.
but you would have learned a valuable lesson.
