Attention Deficit Disorder: Is It Something You Should Ignore?

If you have been diagnosed with attention deficit disorder, you know that aside from feeling perhaps a little embarrassed, you may be thinking about just ignoring the entire thing completely and going on with your life.
However, have you considered what will happen should you decide to pursue this particular choice? Often times we make choices that seem right, for the sake of expediency, but in the end do us more harm than good.
You need to ensure that you understand the long-term consequences of ignoring this particular disorder.
Consider for a moment that if you are in a fast-paced, high-pressure job, you will be asked to do many different things and solve many different problems throughout your day.
However, by ignoring something like attention deficit disorder, although you may think you are all right, you may find that your attention to detail is not what it should be, which will lead to other people finding mistakes that you should have caught.
Not only is this embarrassing, it can be a slow form of career suicide as well, especially if you have designs on getting promoted and working your way up within the company.
Something else to consider is that by ignoring attention deficit disorder, especially if you've already been diagnosed with it, you run the risk of hurting your personal relationships as well.
Consider that is very hard for a person to stay with you, if you can focus on having a good conversation, or if you get distracted easily.
Certainly, people will understand once in a while, we all have that problem some days.
However, if it happens too frequently, you may well find yourself alone very quickly.
Ultimately you going to have to decide whether or not the potential risks of ignoring this disorder are worth the short-term gains.
