Can Collagen Be Absorbed Into the Skin?

If you want to finally know whether or not the collagen protein can be absorbed in skin then you are going to want to read this article.
Collagen is a very interesting yet controversial subject matter.
There are constantly debates between scientists and cosmetic companies about whether or not the protein can penetrate the skin pores.
The cosmetic companies always want you to believe the protein can be absorbed because then they can sell you their collagen lotions and creams.
These skin care products are usually labeled "containing collagen" or something along those lines.
This is done to catch your eye.
The truth however is that collagen cannot be absorbed into the skin.
Scientific research has shown and proven that the molecules of the collagen protein are way too big to be absorbed by skin.
So in essence when you use a skin care lotion or cream that contains collagen it's all actually a waste because none of that collagen actually penetrates your skin.
Why is it then that the cosmetic companies still sell creams, moisturizers and lotions that contain collagen? Is it because they don't know that the protein cannot be absorbed? The truth is they know that collagen molecules a way bigger than skin pores.
They are perfectly aware that all the collagen they stuff their products with doesn't help you in any way.
It actually all goes to waste.
Why then do they do it? Well, they do it because they want to fool you into believing that the collagen in their products will help you.
So in actuality they do it to get more sales.
Unfortunately that's the bottom line.
So can collagen be absorbed into the skin? Know it cannot.
The kind of collagen that helps improve skin firmness, pure collagen that is, can only be produced by your body.
So it can only be increased from within.
