Ideas for Decorating for a Western Themed Wedding

Hay and Boots Decorations

Nothing says country like bales of a hay and cowboy boots. Situate bales of hay on each end of the bride and groom's table. If the bales of hay are small, stack one bale on top of another. Cover the bales with 1 yard of western print fabric that uses western wedding colors, such as brown, green, orange and yellow. Place a pair of old cowboy boots on the hay bales and put a bouquet of wild flowers, real or silk, inside each boot.

Western Theme Table Decorations

Create a sophisticated western theme environment with solid table covers and bandanas. Cover each guest table with a solid-color fabric tablecloth and lay paisley print bandanas in the center of each table. Set additional bandanas below each utensil set for guests to use as napkins, and tie the utensils with twine. Select bandanas in red, blue or yellow. These colors stand out against most solid-colored tablecloths and create a sophisticated look with a hometown feel.

Wild Flower Mason Jar Centerpiece Decorations

Western décor often includes natural earth elements and wild beauty. Wild flower mason jar centerpieces add a little bit of both. Select 1/2-gallon mason jars as centerpiece vases for each guest table and wrap twine around each jar. Tie a knot in the front of each jar and put sunflowers, white and yellow daisies or other flowers inside each mason jar, the website Today's Weddings suggests. Add lighting at each table by inserting white votive candles inside 1/2 pint mason jars and placing the candles around each centerpiece.

Western Guest Book Table Decorations

Add a little country to your guest book table. Position a wooden folding table at the reception room entrance. Display a photo of the bride and groom in a country themed photo frame, embellished with cowboy boots or a hat. Place two cowboy boots in the corner of the table and a cowboy hat on the other end of the table. Tie two cowbells together with a bandana and place the bells next to the photo frame. Position the guest book and pen in the center of the table for guests to sign.
