The Northwest Territories in northern Canada offer some of the most secluded fishing areas in the world. Almost all of the fishing lodges in the Northwest Territories are fly-in only, and the cost of the flight is usually included in the lodges' pricing. Species of fish abundant in the Northwest Territories are lake trout, walleye, arctic grayling and northern pike, among others. - Blachford Lake Lodge is a luxury, solar-powered all-inclusive lodge located 20 minutes by charter plane from Yellowknife. Fishing is on Blachford Lake or nearby Magrum or Grace Lakes. Blachford Lake Lodge operates on a catch-and-release principle and trophy fish are not to be kept, though keeping smaller fish for lunch or dinner is allowed. As of 2010, prices range from $1,135 to $3,350 per person for a two- to seven-night stay.
