Korean War Pictures - Napalm Carrier

NAPALM CARRIER -- One hundred and fifty gallons of flaming death, seventy five gallons of napalm in each of the dark colored wing tanks, speeds on its way toward enemy lines in Korea through courtesy of an F-80 jet fighter of the U.S. Far East Air Forces. Both tanks are armed with detonators that will explode the jelly-like gasoline substance into a roaring inferno of death over a vast area the instant they touch the ground.

Napalm has been used with great success by the U.S. Air Force against enemy tanks, troops, military installations, and convoys because of its intense heat and becasue it is extremely hard to extinguish. (circa January 2, 1951)
