How to Choose Which Outlets to Put on Circuit Breakers

    • 1). Determine which appliances in your home draw the most power. Those that draw a lot of power are more likely to pull excess current. Common items that draw a lot of power are heating and air-conditioning systems, water heaters, microwave ovens, toasters, toaster ovens and clothes dryers.

    • 2). Locate the outlets to which you are most likely to connect the high-power-drawing devices.

    • 3). Choose the outlets that will power the high-power items most frequently to receive the circuit breakers.
