- 1). Drink extra fluids, and not just water. Drinking both lemon juice and herbal teas can help to flush out any bacteria and help with an infection, helping to treat Cystitis.
- 2). Avoid stimulants like caffeine and alcohol. Both can irritate the bladder and worsen Cystitis and its symptoms.
- 3). Avoid sugar as much as possible. This includes sweetened juices. Try to stick to natural fruit juices and a very low sugar diet. Sugar can actually encourage bacteria to multiply, making the Cystitis worse.
- 4). Drink apple cider vinegar diluted in water once per day. This helps to balance the pH balance of the urinary tract. I suggest drinking a Tablespoon diluted in a glass of water. I suggest using raw apple cider vinegar rather than standard apple cider vinegar.
