How to Measure for a Custom Mattress
- 1). Measure from the inside of one side rail to the inside of the opposite side rail. This will be the width of your mattress.
- 2). Measure from the head of the area where your mattress will be to the foot of the area, making sure to measure where the mattress will sit, and not above it. This will tell you the length you need.
- 3). Measure from the lowest point that the mattress will sit to the top of the frame or the footboard. This will determine how thick of a mattress your frame or area can accommodate.
