I Hate Noise But Love to Read - A Simple Step to Getting Some Peace and Quiet
I hate noise.
I found it hard to read books any more because when I read I want to become engrossed in what I'm reading and I found it hard when there was noise around me.
Noise distracts me and sometimes makes me angry.
All I wanted to do was sit down in a quiet corner and read.
Wherever I am, at home or in the park it's the same, people have no consideration for those who want to sit quietly and contemplate.
I realised the simple solution to my problem: Only read when there's no one around.
In my house that's before 7 in the morning and after 11 o'clock at night.
So now I only schedule my reading at these times and it's bliss, total peace and quiet.
I'm happy I can read again.
If your having the same problem I had, try the same thing.
Think about when it's quietest in your home and plan to do your reading then.
I guarantee that getting up a little earlier or going to bed a little later is well worth it.
What would it be like to live in a world of silence? I often wonder.
Other people don't seem to care about noise, based on their car doors and their front doors going about their life as noisy a way as possible.
I suppose, that by making noise, you prove you exist.
Now I don't worry so much about the noise because I know that my time is quiet time, try it and see.
