NYC Seaport Restaurants

New York City's South Street Seaport, one of the area's landmark waterside attractions, features historic boats, restaurants, a boardwalk, and an up-close view of the East River. The Seaport pier has many restaurants, and entertainers and musicians often grace the port's common areas. Tours of large sailboats at the port are available. The Seaport neighborhood continues across FDR Drive with an additional lineup of restaurants and attractions. - The romantic setting of Harbour Lights offers balcony tables along the East River or elegant dining in the intimate indoor setting. The restaurant provides an excellent view of the many bridges along the East River, including the famous Brooklyn Bridge. Harbour Lights is an excellent location from which to view Independence Day fireworks over the river. The restaurant offers a raw seafood bar in addition to its full menu. Entrees include a variety of fish, including salmon, cod, sole, monkfish, lobster and crab cakes. An additional selection of steaks and lamb chops is available to round out the menu. Many side dishes and appetizers are available to suit any taste.

Red offers outdoor seating along the Seaport's main drag west of FDR Drive, on Fulton Street. The dinner menu includes appetizers such as guacamole and chile con carne, and Mexican entrees such as chimichangas. Rich alambre dishes, which resemble fajitas but with a thicker and more spicy sauce, are a speciality. If arriving by car, you can make parking reservations on Red's website.

The restaurant is open till after midnight to suit hungry visitors to the Seaport's evening attractions.
