Is Losing Weight in 2009 One of Your Goals?
I hope losing weight is not one of your goals for 2009.
Why would I say that? Because most likely if you had that as a goal in the past, you failed to achieve it permanently.
Would you like to know why losing weight and keeping it off is not an achievable goal for most people? Of course you do.
It's because in order for a goal to be attainable it has to be based on a core desire.
Core Desires A core desire is for something that is so important, if you don't get it or accomplish it, you won't feel happy and fulfilled.
It's about what you are passionate about, such as playing a musical instrument, playing a sport, becoming highly successful with your career, being involved in some worthy cause to help others.
These are examples of what you really desire to accomplish, they are your goals that you will work on until you achieve them no matter what it takes.
Weight loss is not something anyone enjoys or is passionate about, it's just something you need to do, to help you achieve your true goals.
True Goals Make your goals something that you really desire, something that you must accomplish to feel fulfilled.
If you need to burn some body fat then a good goal would be to commit to becoming much healthier, fitter and more energetic this year.
Good health and a high level of energy are essential if you are to be highly successful in everything that you are doing in your life.
Losing weight is just something that you need to do to achieve your goal of becoming healthier.
Fitness and fat reduction instead of weight loss If you have read any of my books or articles you know that I recommend forgetting about losing weight and just focus on getting fit and healthy.
Losing weight and inches will be an appreciated by- product when you begin consistent weight training, cardio exercise and healthy eating programs.
Once you are clear on your core values and desires and have set some attainable goals, reducing body fat may very well be one piece of the puzzle.
If so, do take weight loss pills and go on a calorie restrictive weight loss diet and start eating packaged diet food.
Find a good personal trainer and develop a real health and fitness program and stick with it.
