The person suffering with acne must remember not to scratch at or attempt to remove and pimples as any bacteria carried beneath the nails could cause further infection.
Germs and bacteria are not normally seen by the naked eye so just because the fingernails look clean does not actually mean they are.
So wherever possible, it is advisable to keep the hands, especially fingernails away from any acne spots.
As very few people have completely blemish free skin, there is a good chance that if you haven't had acne that you may well experience it at some stage especially if your parents suffered with it as well.
