Lately, I"ve Been Online Friend Finding, and Lovin" It!
I've been online friend finding a lot lately.
And how it all started, probably how it starts for most people, was out of a very human need to reconnect.
Now I can't get enough of it.
I was clearing some spring stuff our for some summer stuff to go in its place (light sweaters-out, swim suits-in) and I ran across my old yearbook from college.
I attended a small college up in Worcester, MA and the bonds that were forged there were forever.
But then life crept in.
Families were started.
Kids arrived.
And suddenly all of the people from those glorious four years were suddenly (or not so suddenly) NOT in my day to day existence any longer.
Hence my desire to start this online friend finding.
Now when I did venture onto the net to start this little quest of mine, I thought there would not be an easier thing on the planet.
I mean, I knew going in that one third of all searches through search engines are for PEOPLE ONLY, so I assumed that I would easily and very quickly have my online friend finding be a snap.
Wrong.
The internet, as you know, and as I didn't, is literally filled with people who want to redirect you into what THEY are doing.
They may bring you into their spheres of influence by offering you the ability to find people online, but their end game (what they really make their money doing) may have NOTHING to do with online friend finding.
These webmasters know that we are very crude and childish in our surfing.
They know that we stray easily.
So they throw up these huge traffic funnels and then hope to steer as many people as they can toward what they eventually want to sell.
In the end, their goal is not to provide you with a site that is amazing at it.
It is for their own goals.
I'm not crying about it, I'm just making people aware.
But guess what, after a few hours of bitter frustration, I was able to find sites that not only are incredible powerful at online friend finding BUT THEY ARE 100% FREE! Curious?
