Honda CB 1000 Specifications
- Honda produced the CB 1000 motorcycle from 1992 to 1997. However, Honda was selling the bike as late as 1999. The motorcycle was particularly popular in Japan and Europe. The CB 1000 took its engine from the CBR 1000. The engine of the CB 1000, however, saw a loss of 15 horsepower through milder cams, if compared to the CBR 1000's engine. The bike belonged to the class of naked touring motorcycles.
- The displacement of the in-line four, four-stroke engine of the Honda CB 1000 measured 998 cc, or 60.90 cubic inches. The engine was cooled by water and featured four valves per cylinder. It produced 98 horsepower, or 71.5 kilowatts, at 8,500 rpm. At 6,000 rpm, the engine reached a maximum torque of 87.00 newton meters, or 64.2 foot-pounds.
- The Honda CB 1000 was equipped with a five-speed transmission with a chain final drive. The bike features dual 310-mm front disc brakes with four piston calipers, and single 276-mm rear disc brakes with one piston calipers.
