- 1). Click your Windows "Start" orb and select "All Programs." Click "Accessories" and open "Paint." Repeat this so you have two separate Paint windows running.
- 2). Click "File," the blue icon to the left of "Home." Select "Open," navigate to the sprite sheet you'd like to cut and select "Open."
- 3). Click "Select" in the "Image" tab and choose "Rectangular selection." Find the first sprite you'd like to cut from the sheet and select "Copy."
- 4). Bring up the other Paint window and choose the "Select" tool. Drag your cursor across any white portion of the Paint window to create a box. Right-click within the box and select "Paste."
- 5). Click the small squares at the edge of the box to resize the sprite as desired. When satisfied, click "File" and "Save." Name the sprite something that will help you distinguish it from any others you're creating, such as "jumpsprite1." Choose where to save it using the Windows Explorer window, then click "Save."
