Self Defense - Are You Worth It?

No, I'm not talking about how much money you're worth.
I'm talking about self-worth.
How do you value yourself? How much do you value your and your family's safety and security? How much value do you place on feeling safe and secure? Some people think that all their "things" make them valuable.
Some think they're valuable because they have more than others.
Many of these people may appear to be wealthy, self-confident, intelligent, and secure, but deep down inside they use "things' as a replacement for their lack of self-worth or lack of self-esteem.
On the outside, they appear rich and happy, but inside they're miserable and poor in spirit.
Digging deep, they feel inadequate, undeserving, or afraid of being found out that they're really a fraud or stupid.
So they surround themselves with things so they look good.
When it comes to self defense, they think they don't need it.
They think they're not worth it.
Afraid to be confident, afraid to feel deserving of protection, afraid of feeling "better" than their attacker, or afraid to fight for their life, they go through life timid and meek--never taking chances, never taking a stand.
Well, it's time to wake up! This is a crazy world we live in.
Yes, bad things happen to good people so you need to be ready to protect what's yours.
Why give in to the criminals? Are you ready to just lie down and let them rape you, assault you, steal from you, beat you or murder you? What about your family? What kind of example are you setting for your children? Are you going to let them be bullied at school? Teach them to fight back-either verbally or physically if they have to.
Sign them up for karate to learn fighting skills along with discipline, respect and confidence.
Join with them if you need to.
Secure your home with protective devices.
Arm yourself with a strong defensive spray, a high voltage stun gun, a small personal alarm, and other non-lethal self defense weapons of your choice.
Learn how and when to use them.
These are all easy products to use and carry.
Most are geared towards escaping an attack, not harming the attacker, so don't worry about hurting someone.
Get the best you can afford-remember you're worth it! It doesn't matter where you live, what your financial status is, what your race, gender, handicap, sexual preference, or age is, whether or not you have any tattoos and piercings, what kind of car you drive, what your education is, or if you live in a mansion or a cardboard box on the street.
Learn to defend yourself.
Self worth and self defense are so linked together.
Take a stand.
You'll feel better about yourself.
You'll feel stronger, safer, more confident and more deserving.
Next time someone asks you what you're worth, you can say in a loud voice, "I'm priceless!"
