- 1). Stay as far away from electronic devices as possible. Keep your laptop off your lap. Plug a keyboard into it. Don't use electric blankets. Keep cords as far away from you as possible. Use the speakerphone function on your cell phone as often as possible.
- 2). Upgrade to LCD. These types of screen produce less radiation than others. Substitute for both your computer screen and television.
- 3). Turn off your wireless router whenever you're not using it. While it's much safer to not use wireless in your household, this may be impracticable. Turn it off when you're sleeping or not using the Internet.
- 4). Substitute a wall outlet for battery power whenever possible. Some common items that you can operate on battery power include laptops and alarm clocks. When battery powered, these devices emit much less radiation.
