How to Stop a Sore Throat at The First Sign
You are just going through your day minding your own business when you get an odd sensation, a feeling in your throat, a tingle, or a tickle.
You force a swallow down, trying to push it away, willing it to go away, because you just don't have time to deal with this right now.
After a moment or two, it's gone, and you let out a sigh of relief-just a false alarm.
Later in the day, that evening, you feel a little run down and notice a raw spot in your throat.
That's when you know you've already come down with a sore throat.
Is there anything you can do to catch that first sign you felt earlier in the day? The first sign of the sore throat is that tickle or tingle in your throat.
This is your body's warning signal it has started the battle against the virus (for colds or flu) or bacteria (like strep).
This is the time to take action because the virus or bacteria are still on the surface of the throat tissue.
o Gargle with warm salt water.
Just dissolve 1-2 teaspoons of salt in a cup of warm water and gargle.
You can make this solution stronger if desired.
Do this at least once an hour throughout the day.
o Spray colloidal silver on your throat several times a day.
Do this right after you gargle and let it sit on your throat without drinking for about 10 minutes before drinking any liquids.
Colloidal silver kills out an impending infection.
o Drink some herbal tea.
Any of the following alone or mixed will help fight off a sore throat: slippery elm, sage, mullein and peppermint.
If you catch it at the very beginning, many times you can stop a sore throat in its tracks before it takes hold in the throat tissue.
