Diet Soda Ruins a Post Pregnancy Diet!

You need to know that diet sodas can actually lead to more weight gain.
To be sure your post pregnancy diet is not in vain, you need to know that 'diet soda' is a fairy tale.
OK maybe that is a little melodramatic, but it is true that diet drinks will not help you lose weight.
Here's why diet soda (or a sugar free sports drink and sugar free juice) is not going to help you lose weight after a baby.
There have been studies done that show that consuming beverages sweetened artificially will actually lead to higher calorie intake through out the day than the people that allow themselves the occasional full-calorie soda.
Many people do not know that artificial sweeteners actually taste many times sweeter than sugar itself.
The body then sends a signal to your brain that is false.
It tells your brain that you are ingesting far more sugar than you actually are.
The explanation is that artificial sweetener is actually MUCH sweeter to your taste buds than real sugar.
Since your brain thinks you are consuming a high amount of sugar, it starts producing insulin to deal with that sugar.
But the chemical secreted to deal with all that sugar is actually unhappy to find it received a false alarm, and suddenly your poor tricked brain thinks more calories are needed to kind of help soak up all that extra insulin.
Then you are hungry instead of motivated to stay on your diet, you are snacking.
The only way to keep weight off is to learn to live without sugar.
Sodas that use artificial sweeteners make your brain confused.
So when you are trying to take yourself from that sugar dependency, you are still basically using sugar, chemically speaking.
This can make staying on a diet impossible, or at least very difficult.
