On the coast of the Yucatan Peninsula in the area known as the Mexican Carribean, Cancun is a beautiful, lazy town during the daylight hours, but as night falls, the city comes alive and the partying begins. Particularly popular among young singles as well as college students seeking hedonist fun during spring breaks, Cancun has a great many all-inclusive hotels catering to the party crowd. In fact, there is a whole area full of hotels dubbed Party Zone.

Located just a few miles from Cancun's notorious Party Central area, the Oasis Cancun boasts four pyramid-shaped buildings that each hold about 175 Mexican-themed rooms, all with a view of either the ocean, the gardens or the lagoon. The hotel has nine bars, including three swim-up bars located in various areas of the enormous serpentine swimming pool, said to be the longest in Cancun. All rooms have air-conditioning as well as a terrace or balcony on which to enjoy a leisurely room service breakfast or sunset cocktails. The eight dining spots cover nearly every kind of food from sushi to traditional Mexican to American favorites such as hot dogs and burgers. Nightly dancing and a Thursday foam party add to the festive atmosphere. All-inclusive rates begin at $122 as of spring break in 2010.

    Cancun Clipper Club

Cancun revolves around its nightlife, and the Cancun Clipper Club offers its share of partying right within the hotel. This is not a hotel for someone who wants a quiet night's rest, as there is an all-night disco next door and the drum beats never stop. However, the price is reasonable---less than $100 per night in 2010---and it is right in the middle of the hotel and party district. You can stay out drinking and dancing all night and stumble into your hotel room, wake up in the morning, have breakfast and sleep by the pool. There is a hot tub, a pool, a lively bar with swim-up access and a lovely open-air palapa restaurant specializing in seafood and Mexican national dishes. The Clipper is good place to stay if you are willing to venture out into town to find food and entertainment on your own. The hotel also affords a terrific view of Nichupté Lagoon, although swimming is not allowed, due to the possibility of crocodiles, which could provide a good photo opportunity.
